Nice #1 Sheila! I looked for that one for 4 years before finding my first one just last month. You are kicking ___ and taking names. Congrats
@Sheila Ruley can I borrow your lucky rabbits foot, 4 leaf clover or what ever it is bringing you this run of luck Awesome coin and congrats once again.
It looks like the CONECA listed 71 DDO-001 (FS-101). http://www.varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1971PDDO001.htm Larry Nienaber
Thank you guys! I guess I have had some luck. I know it won't last forever but it's nice. Lots of searching though. Anyone think I should send it in or no?
It's good luck so far. I just got a good batch of coins this time. Hopefully I can find more in it but that may be a lot to ask. Lol.
Wait... wasn't it just a day or two ago you found the 72DDO? Someone is on a roll.... congrats again! It's very nice to see your persistence and devotion finally start paying off, Shelia. You're certainly setting a fine example for others who harbor the same interests. Double kudos!
Thank you for the encouragement and compliment! I just love doing this and the challenge of it! I hope I get a big fish one day the lol! Yes, found the 72 DDO the other day too.
I believe J.T. Stanton(coauther Cherry Picker's Guide) is in Georgia if I remember correctly. I've picked up a few nice coins from him in the past. One being a 1913 ty1 buffalo nickel.
Maybe I will have my husband grab a lottery ticket tomorrow. And I will keep looking too. Probably better luck finding something else rather than winning the lottery.
I'd advise against this unless you instruct him to buy 1 lottery ticket for every Lincoln you've ever looked at.
Send it In! No questions asked! DO NOT Spring for the Attribution Fee as this is a Heritage Variety! Simply send it in as a 1971 Lincoln DDO. They'll grade it as the Heritage coin a standard grading rates.
