I received a package in the mail today. It was not my usual treasures, coins or books. It was a statement of philosophy from TIF, see below.

My grandson, Kendall, in a crack em out t-shirt from TIF! I will work on why Georgia Tech is better than UGa and teach him the "good word" later.

I did not take a close up shot of the pattern. You will have to find TIF's post for better details.
I will wear the shirt this weekend at the Bellaire Coin Club Kids Auction. Train 'em right young and they won't go wrong.

I'm looking forward to the reactions when you wear it to the Coin Club meeting. For anyone other than Ancients collectors, it may be met with a horrified stare and confusion :D.

Closeup of the fabric is in this post.

Why did you make that poor kid wear that dress?

... and why doesn't he have any arms in the final photo? (worst Dad "ever")

If a bunch of us ever meet up one day, we should all be wearing this.

People will probably think we're some sort of weird cult lol

Well we're ancients collectors so collectors of modern coins must already think of us as a freaky cult...

We had a good crowd of YNs at the Bellaire Coin Club youth auction. We give the youth $20 in Bellaire Bucks and let them bid on coins.
    P6110816.JPG
This young man bought a 2 peso gold coin that was donated by a parent of two of the YNs.

    P6110819.JPG
This red headed guy bought a silver dollar.

    P6110820.JPG
This guy bought a Constantine era bronze with a VOT XXX reverse. He also bought a certificate to have a coin graded and slabbed for "free". When he found out that "free" means that you must pay $21 to have the coin in slab mailed back, he and his dad returned the certificate. I did not pat him on the back and say way to go, but I thought that. To replace his certificate, I gave him an uncleaned bronze RR As.

I certainly dream of abandoning my current career :D.

I need a partner/nanny, someone good with business so that I can focus on the creative side :). My business skills are nonexistent.
