1996 memorial cent question

Coin is broken. Goes out with the trash

 

Looks like it was used as target practice and then left in the ground(corrosion)still a cent.

 

Damaged, corroded Zincoln. End of story…imo…Spark

 

Definitely damaged zinc cent. Spend it so we can answer the same question in the future.

 

Johnny boy, what part of the minting process do you think could produce this, that it would be called an error?
Not putting your question down, but if you study the minting process, you would realize it couldn't be anything but damage after it left the mint.

 

It has a really bad disease.

 

If the mint keeps using the dies like we’ve seen recently then all the new cents will look like this when exiting the minting machine.
