I think any one coin he's ever posted on here exceeds the value of my whole collection by a large multiple.
Impossible to tell if it's whizzed without better pictures. Does it have "weird" luster? Have you looked at the edges of the devices under some good magnification (10-20x)?
Finally got to photograph these. I'm thinking of sending the Indian to NCS. I don't know if the 41-O will grade due to the rim knick, but I'm hoping it will.
What are you seeing on the IHC that makes it NCS worthy? It looks like a pretty solid AU58 if not MS 63 or better to me (depending on luster, which does not come through in your photos very well).
I'd like it to look cleaner. There's some spots like behind the ear that id like to see removed. Even a 58 is a $200 coin.
There are some small green spots I see also that may hold it back. I would treat or sell it as is. Not worth grading if the spots are going g to be an on going issue .
As for the 41 o great date...as a collector of H-10 's a date I could use. They are hard to find in gradable condition. I have looked at quite a few and a nice fine coin without issues are like hens teeth.
I'm more worried about what they'd think of the stuff inside the UN and first A in AMERICA, hints that it might have been cleaned. Very much agreed with your thoughts about what to do with it. Wouldn't be the first coin I thought cleaned to have been funneled through NCS into a righteous slab.
Not too long ago I got a Cartwheel 2 pence. Needless to say I wanted a 1 pence also and recently picked one one pretty cheap. George III (1760 - 1820 A.D.) Æ "Cartwheel" 1 Pence O: GEORGIUS III D G REX, Laureate, draped, and armored bust right. R: BRITANNIA, Britannia seated left on rocks, holding branch and trident; shield to right; in background, ship under sail right upon waves. Soho (Birmingham) mint, 1797. 36mm 28.34g 6h KM 618
That coin is definitely cleaned. See how it is VF/EF? It should NOT be white, but a medium/dark grey.
