How much would you pay for these flying eagle cents? (Seller's pics)

I bought these yesterday. Just wanted to get a feel for what you all think is a good/fair price. I know many of them have some rim corrosion, but it seems like there's lots of detail there. I see one (lower left) that may grade mid AU, in my opinion. Tough to tell from these pics.

There's a lot of tailfeathers visible in these. :)

All of 'em need to stand close to some Verdicare, and (guessing you just flipped them for the reverse pics) the top row, third from left is probably a goner. Maybe the second too.

That said, interpolating the images makes me think there isn't one worse than a good VF among them, and they're likely all XF or better. Wholesale? $275 maybe? They're $100 each in XF at retail.

Check out (completed) Ebay auction 291760822278. Somebody got a deal on one there. :)

    Pitted, but lots of detail!

At least AU meat, and the photography makes me think the surfaces are better than they look.

What a steal. I wish I had some babies like those to take care of. Those are real nice, considering most of the raw coins out there of this type have problems of some kind.

I would soak them in pure acetone in a sealed glass container for a week or two to see if dissolves any stuff on them without really harming them.

I ordered some Verdi-Care last night. Maybe @BadThad has some suggestions.

I see some a range of corrosion, I can tell a couple of those cannot be saved, especially the one with black, formate corrosion....that cannot be removed without damaging the coin. GOOD LUCK!

Two are goners. Blow those out, degunk the rest. Lots of nice coins there.

I'm betting the lesser of the two bad ones can be ameliorated to the point of salability, with appropriate disclosure. The worst one, well, you'd have to get all midaeval on it and the result will likely be a coin with scalloped cutouts. It'd be an interesting experimental piece, though, and it appears to be a Woody, which is a shame.

You have to consider each coin individually....so I cannot say which conservation technique (soak, towel, or spot) is best or the amount of time. We provide instructions but the end-user must learn the best methods via experience.

I'm hoping there's another one in there since he didn't show the backs of all the coins. Lol

Yes, both lots. The flying eagles for $49.95 and the Indian cents for $23.95. They should arrive tomorrow.
