my name is bill, The question i have for you is could you please explain to me what this is and what is it worth it it a $10,000 fedral reserve note struck in 1 pound of silver bar, with chase on the front of it, I have seen the $100 dollar proofs but I am having a hard time finding the $10,000 one...the date on the note is circa 1918 it looks like this http://www.washingtonmint.com/prog_display.asp?PROG_NBR=2 but in $10,000 amount, I inherited this many years thank you for your time and any help is apreciated, hope this was the correct forum
You can figure out how much it's worth quite easily if you know the current value of silver. Take the current silver value. Here's a good resource for current bullion values; http://www.kitco.com Then, multiply the current value by how many ounces you have. Silver is currently at $5.14 per ounce. If you had sixteen ounces of silver, for example, it would be worth $82.24.
