I said it's a coin lol. I was disagree with his notion that is it not one. Anything a country makes and slaps a denomination on is a coin is my opinion. There may be an argument for some collector only things from say England where they have told banks not to accept them at face value but until we get to that point they're coins in my book. The only real debate is whether or not they have a numismatic value or will continue to have one going forward.

It's not a coin. It's a bullion replica. And a bad one at that

I agree it will end up being bullion value basically like the Kennedy halfs, but bullion are still coins when issued by a government.

As is with the case of most modern bullion, these will no doubt sell in ms69 slabed form for just a small amount over spot within the year. I still won,t want one!

  12. Mike, I hear ya. Born here in 1958, I can relate to that.. :)

Yup, The dealers who are selling these modern MS/PR70 (BULL-YAWN) coins will never pay a premium to buy these back from their customers.

I have the money to buy coins & for the most part buy them because it is a nice hobby & will keep the coins & pass them down to my son 1 day.
I do have 1000 1964 Kennedy Coins which I will sell if & when silver goes back up to $50.00/ounce.
