so is that why one portion is so discolored?? maybe hey heated it up then had another coin on top and hit with a hammer or in a vice ??
When I was a kid we made 1914 D's all day long. We sold them to other kids in the neighborhood. And we made good money! We would take 1944 D's and scrape down the sides of the first 4 and made it look like a one. Then we took erasers and smoothed down the scratch marks. Volia! 1914 D
I suppose as much as some coins bring, it would be lucrative to semilate such things and sell to unsuspecting people
I I Never buy raw coins., accept in rolls.. Which aren't totally safe either. I try to anylize the wrapper as much as the coins on the ends
Ha-ha.. Oh I love those.. But I ask lots of questions.. And cap my spending even if coin is amazing. Try to cut my losses up front
