1964 us penny with a kangaroo in the back ground any one ever seen that? The head is where the fg would be.
Hmmm sorry, not from where I sit. Maybe others can chime in here for you. I'm seeing a normal cent with a possible stain.
It has evidence of a lamination error. Though it could be something else. The area around CENT is more prominent.
I see what you mean. And guys, I'm not losing my mind. The Kangaroo's head and ears are just above the steps on the Memorial just to the right of the word "AMERICA". The tail is just below the "C" in "CENT" and the leg extends down the steps of the Memorial to the "O" in "ONE. Click on the photo and it's large enough to see. This is NOT A MINT ERROR!! It is a very carefully designed stain or a pattern transfer from some other source. A nice find, a novelty and I'd keep it for fun but only worth a penny. By the way OP, welcome to CT. Enjoy the fun and the sarcasm. It comes in the package when you sign up to be a member.
No one said you (or the other fellow) were. There is obviously no kangaroo, magically in stain-like form, on an American cent of any age, even if that's what you think you see. Below is a link that should better explain. http://www.livescience.com/25448-pareidolia.html
I know no one said it but I thought I was losing it by seeing what I was.I was just making sure I wasn't losing it
