Hoping to hit the Raleigh show, might unload a bit of recently-acquired junk silver. Just realized that I'll likely miss the big Raleigh Money Expo in June. Rats.
Columbus Oh, monthly show, If I can slip away.... you know I'm gonna show up, If she checks our bank statement, she is gonna throw up That's why I always lie, and say I'm going there to sell, I hope when I die, I don't go to H___ (Takes Bow) Thank u, thank u now back to my beer
Going to the itasca show. Been going there very month, the bad thing is that I'm running out of funds quick
It's listed in my coin club schedule of shows too. We just had a show last week in Denver so it's awesome to have another. I'll check it out. Will go on Saturday for sure, maybe Sunday.
This weekend's Raleigh show was the one that's held in the Kerr Scott building. It's been a bit depressing the last few years, because the venue is oversized for the level of participation; there are two concentric circles of tables in a hall that's probably 2/3 empty. It seemed like traffic was pretty light. Folks are probably saving up for next month's Raleigh Money Expo, the biggest show of the year. I was pleased that I went, though, because one of my favorite dealers (Josh Bobbitt) was there, buying 90% silver at 12.25x and selling at 13.25x. He buys common Morgan and Peace dollars at strong prices, too. Sold him some common stuff, left with more cash than I carried in.
The Rocky Mountain Stamp show was as advertised. All stamps, didn't stay too long. Glad it wasn't too far from home.
I took the mini-me to the CONA show today in Columbus. This was the first monthly show I've been to in town. I was fairly impressed at the number of dealers that were there, but I only saw one Fugio and the early copper selection was light. There was a pretty good selection of mid-century pieces, and most dealers were heavy on the Morgans. The little man got a $1 grab bag of foreign coins to look through and some free magazines. I am working on a deal on a Civil War token, I didn't bring money with me this time around.
