Maybe I'm just blind, but I don't see it go from rim to rim.

Of course it is, Larry! Here is the Cruds on Coins definition.....

"Definition; A retained cud is a marginal die break that that has not fallen out. In other words, the die fragment, though completely detached from the intact portion of the die, is held in place. Retained cuds involving the anvil die are held in place by the collar. A retained cud may progress to a fully-fledged cud."

Now, what I'd like to know is why is it considered completely detached when the break does not extend through the rim? Also, how can anyone tell if the crack extends through the entire substrate to the rim?

I'm beginning to think that some of these online experts aren't all they're cracked up to be.

khris I know what you mean, just like Wexler and this 85ee9415870cb2e1ffff8cc0ffffe415.jpg 02-D-25c tn wddo-001.I guess what you're saying Crystal, is that these individuals are no better than the coin talk professionals on this site. Christian have you ever emailed any of these individuals and asked them how they determine what there posting.? I have personally found if you email the individual with the question I have gotten answers back to my question, Christine why don't you give it a try email them with your questions.:playful::blackalien:\V/

You'll never make it as a comedian, Miss Emmy! Maybe you should stick to teaching photography.

I don't get it. I ask a question because the images are so bad that I can't see what you are saying. Chris takes the time to post the definition. You have to act like a jerk. I won't bother you any more.

Sir I don't know what to tell you or Christine I have complaints about my photos from just certain members but yet other members seem to see what the thread is about. And believe me I almost missed this one myself I looked at it over At least half a dozen times. But sometimes you just can't get the photo you'd like to get I'm not a photographer and I never claimed to be one I do the best I can with what I've got to work with like a lot of members on this site do, and being the owner of this coin I have the opportunity to view it in a lot different ways than you do. And if you think I'm a jerk for stating the obvious then so be it there is nothing I can do about it and when I post photos with indicator marks for the cracks that's not good enough for you members and if you haven't figured it out yet I'm not here to cater to the insults and remarks from certain members. It's error coin collecting and the object is to have fun and interesting enjoy finding new fines. And another thing if you haven't figured this out yet I stand my ground and not easily intimidated by certain members on this site.

It seems a lot of members have forgot one basic thing, we are all human beings on this earth and not everyone is going to agree with what someone says or does.(We are humam And individuals:blackalien:)
