Take a stab at the PCGS grade on this quarter I just added to my type set. All opinions and comments welcome. Share yours as well if you have!

I'm not good at grading, especially from photos, and certainly not this series, so rather than give my opinion, I'll ask a question so I can learn.
Does this year have a "weak" strike of the obverse? If not, it appears to be circulation wear, bringing it down in grade, but the reverse is a beauty.

I concur. AU50 details was my thought. Don't see the luster I'd expect, though. It looks cleaned, though that could be the lighting, too, maybe.

    I suppose there is a possibility it straight-graded AU50, maybe even 53.

It's a sharp coin, but I'll hedge my bets and say AU details/cleaned.

I would have to go with AU details also.

I think it straight-graded at AU-50, net-graded down from 53 due to the scratch from Star 9 to right forearm. I can't see much luster in these photographs but that doesn't mean it isn't there so I'm giving the coin the benefit of the doubt.

It looks to me like it's been cleaned but not harshly or improperly enough to warrant a details grade. There are some hairlines in the obverse fields but not enough and it is a circulated coin.

I'm guessing above what I think PCGS did and why, not what I personally think the coin should be. If we went by my grading, it would get AU-Details.

I'm going AU53 but can see it getting a details grade.

My first thought was AU50, can’t tell if circulation marks or a cleaning in the fields but it’s a nice coin either way! If it were me I’d probably toss her in an envelope on the window sill but I’m also more into crusty than a lot of folks.

Here’s my arrows example since you solicited others.

Here's my 1854 Arrows quarter. Raw coin that I graded AU-58 but that's decidedly arguable.

The OP’s coin should be AU details— cleaned. If would have been AU 50-53, had it not been cleaned.

Here's a couple of angled shots using natural light:

Totally different look. I may have to rethink this.

Here is a high resolution photo, from my iPad Pro. The circled areas look like cleaning marks to me, as opposed to wear. I think it is most likely an AU details coin. Could it have squeaked through as a straight graded AU coin in the 50-55 range? Only if they called the circled areas wear, as opposed to cleaning marks. It is a possibility, as it is not harshly cleaned. Definitely a TPG judgement call. PCGS has called marks like that wear, before.
