I see several die chips on the reverse. I can't tell if that is a doubled die on the far right hand corner of the roof. Or is it just another die chip? The bottom of the bucket also has a big die chip?
It doesn't appear to match the profile of the shingle and is quite a ways from center for most modern era doubled dies. My thought is a well placed chip.
The reason I ask, is because the bottom of the roof part outlines exactly with the roof just not the top of it.
What was the top of the shingle appears to still be mostly there because that feature extended deeper into the die face than the chip has gone
Die chip Sheila and it also appears to be a pre die crack depression in front of it (what you thought might be doubling) . In the early stages of these you may see these depressions on both sides of the top of the roof. As the die got worse the depressions disappeared and ended up being larger cracks and larger die chips. They also appeared on the bottom of the bucket. Nice find.
Just a tip. I have found it's a must to turn the quarters 90° to the left to look at the Windows some of the WDDR's can only be seen at that angle not looking straight on at the coin no telling how many of them I've missed because I've only looked at the coin straight on. I have gotten sloppy in my old age and stop doing the 360 with the coin. Have gone back to the proper examination procedures. Have a good one \V/
