GTP 1988-P Jefferson Nickel On Cent Planchet

About 2 months ago, I seen a 2005 Buffalo, asking price was 750.00 . I put it in my wish list and 3 hours later it was gone, I was pissed .

I do like the colors in this one, wonder if I could get a CAC after grading ?

This one wouldn't be a 1968 as it has the reverse design that started in 1971

 

Seller thought it was a 88, I'll know more when I receive the coin . This is the first Jefferson nickel for me ...

 

I heard From Jon Sullivan and he thinks it's a 1980 ..

 

Well that certainly fits my 68 idea with stonemans post 71 reverse

 

He said 1/5 ( 1980-P ) of them are ( Nickel On Cent ) ..

 

Fred Weinberg thinks it's a 1980 too ..

 

I just received the coin and it' 3 light grams, or 2.9 grams .
It took a minutes or so to get off of 2.9 and go to 3 .
It look like a 1980-P too ..
