I think he is just a newbie to eBay. He has a some Kennedy halves and Washington Quarters he is trying to sell in the same way. I assume he is selling them individually but the shipping costs are calculating for the total. He is also selling car parts and a water filtration system!
And people wonder why the world is such a nasty place. A spelling error invites a nuclear response. Nice.
Feedback of 722 is not "newbie" in any stretch of the imagination. I think he's trying to get one over on people and I think there's enough evidence that says you are buying "one lot" of 37 SBA dollars. So for whatever the shipping, plus "one lot" which is a buck-25 right now, you get 37 SBA dollars for 25.75+shipping, plus $1.25 = $27 Buying currency at 73% of value seems like a bargain - and file SNAD when received if you don't get 37 SBA dollars - kinda proves out the lesson for the seller.
This is what I get if I say I want to order 37 of them. Notice the crazy shipping charge/credit. Who knows what would happen if I actually ordered them? Why would anyone bother with this?
Come on, fellas.... it's obvious the guy is both an idiot and is, or at least was, meaning to sell them individually. A miserable failure, yes, but not everything is a scam and not everyone needs some coin forum busy body, with nothing better to do than stick their nose into someone else's business, to laugh at or teach them a lesson, not by messaging to help but by punishing them. It never ceases to amaze me how otherworldly difficult it seemingly is for some to understand that ebay is nothing more than a massive yardsale, and as with real-life yardsales, you'll come across all kinds. If one cannot deal with the lack of professionalism, or in some cases even competence, there are other options available. If this one listing isn't enough to fill in the blanks, if we drop the all-encompassing paranoia, a quick look at the others should reasonably do so.
We were just having some fun. I agree, you see all sorts of crazy things on eBay. I generally just ignore them, or if I am really interested in something they are selling, I will send them a question to have them clarify. They usually then either explain it, or realize they have made a mistake, and fix it. I assume this guy's listing is a mistake, but someone who wants to buy them can let him know about his listing issue because I certainly don't want the SBAs. tmoney will probably buy them and they will all turn out to be 1979 Wide Rims!
