Hello Y'all, I am new here. I realized I got a coin that had the words "In God" missing so it just says "We Trust". It is a 1970 D and appears to be a double die? The letters are raised higher than normal and edge is more defined. This is the only error with it. If you guys could let me know if it is a coin worth of value or not that would be appreciated. Here are some pictures.
I'll go with struck thru grease. Plus the "I" in Liberty. Little to no value. Nice find. You have a good eye for detail! Here's an older thread that might help and add value to your information. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/er...die-struck-thru-grease-is-it-worth-it.193662/
Don't be discourage about the inscription disappearing. We have a whole world that has removed this idea from their life. :>(
Not that I like the fact you are correct, just that I like knowing at least some people still recognize what makes life decent.
I agree, greaser, but to verify whether it is a doubled die veriety, will need a clear closeup shot of the date.
Hey thank you guys. I am a believer of God so not so big in the atheist thing but not a churchy either. And Hommer I'll post another tomorrow morning
