A blinding flashbulb from an old camera being called a nuclear explosion? Hmmm, I never heard of that. Even though we all knew the duck and cover thing was pretty much useless, I remember the adults taking it very serious with us kids. I don't know where you lived during the cold war but I had neighbors who built fallout shelters in their basements during the Cuban Missile Crisis! Ask your parents about it, I would be surprised if they said it was bull.
I actually did like the ASE sets until the last one and did enjoy the baseball coins. I guess I should have said "Remember when the mint consistently made something worth buying."

I bought a fishing reel with my silver and then they started the modern coins. An Uncle vacationing in the Rio Grand River area in Texas said he was getting silver coinage two years after silver was taken out of circulation. Those small towns were still using the coinage from the older years. He gave me some. So all of that was stolen some years later. I remember the silver coins, steel pennies and other strange things I had no knowledge of. John D.
