This was the second biggest reason I couldn't wait to turn 21. When I was little my parents would bring back buckets of coins from casinos just so i could look through the coins. But by the time I turned 21 everything became player's club cards and receipts :(

Remember the original "Get Smart" show, the cone of silence, and his sport car the Sunbeam Alpine /Tiger :) My first car, red convertible, canvas top, but not with the Ford 289 :(

I agree... it's not counterfeiting, and it's been years since I've heard of such little alterations actually working.

By the way, do you, ahem, "remember" when the Titanic sank? Was a rough night, wasn't it? I could barely sleep.... ;)

I don't remember that. My earliest memory was that they were 10 cents.

You remember when everyone had a two-color TV set: black & white?

And when was the last time anyone saw a TV repairman?

Wait... you mean I can't "remember" things that happened long before I was born? And to think I was just about to tell of that time when I watched George Washington chuck a dollar-sized hunk of slate across the Rappahannock too. ;)

Oh yeah! Used to hear them all day long from Voodoos taking off from West Hampton AFB.

No, but I was ready for it. I remember duck and cover in the 3rd grade.

A kid in my class during duck and cover called out "now, kiss your ... goodbye." I thought the teacher was going to kill him.:woot:

Sure it did.... made some feel better, and sometimes that alone is worth the effort.

It helps if you're an eight year old kid!

I was referring to those blinding flashbulbs.

I remember the duck and cover bull. I even asked my teacher how a wooden desk was going to save me from a concrete ceiling. Of course all I got for an answer was a dirty look.
