    Ottoman Empire. Suleiman I "The Magnificent". 1520-1566. Caliph of the Ottoman Empire. Gold Sultani.

    One of the most prominent monarchs of 16th century Europe. The ruled during the apex of the Ottoman Empire.

    Thanks @Alegandron. That was the pinnacle of ottoman strength. Europe was on constant guard against their threat. But Suleiman Was rather amiable.

    Which mint is yours from? I've learned to read dates in Arabic but mints and other words. Well the struggle is real.

    Anyone else collect these for that matter? Just the proliferation of different mints where they were produced just under old Suleiman is insane

    Heres mine minted in the capital Constantinople. Also Suleiman the Magnificant

    And, here was the guy who defeated the Romaioi in Constantinople, and created the Ottoman Empire with Constantinople as its capital:
