What pocket pieces do you have?

You may have one, a few, or many. I have a few I keep at work when I'm walking around cubicles. Recently I got a 1993 10 Nuevo pesos sterling center coin in a pound of coins by accident. I think it's interesting because they used silver in circulating coinage all the way up to the early 90s. I also currently got a Norway 5 ore in an airtite that looks great because it's bu. I had a late 1800s Belgium 5 francs at one time but sold it for bullion. Lastly, I used to have an silver eagle but sold that as well. I keep them in my wallet sometimes and then put them in my pocket at work. What about you?

Don't really have one. I like using a 1925 SLQ sometimes.

Probably getting a nice Seated Half to use as one.

I've kept an 1889-CC Morgan in my pocket for about 10 years..

Kidding, I do keep an 1886 Morgan in my wallet though.

Carried a dateless large cent for a while. Havnt for a few months now. I think I might dig out a morgan or a peace dollar to carry. I just always have so much other sh..stuff in my pockets.

I keep nothing but the change I received that day in my pocket. Having a pocket piece makes that coin worth less than it already is. My left pocket is for the change I can spend, the right pocket is for keepers. My coin pocket is for something really nice I received in change that day. Coin organization is essential, everyday. :)

Some just carry their change, which is understandable. But as for me I like silver in my pocket sometimes so I carry a pocket piece. If you're into world coins, this makes sense too. As for destroying collector value, I'm not worried at all since the coin either has a major problem (heavily worn, scratch, harsh cleaning) or is very common. Thanks everyone for sharing. It's nice to know I'm not the only one! I've shown non collectors and they looked at me puzzled as to why I'd carry something like that. I looked at them puzzled back, thinking why would they ask such a dumb question considering how awesome coins are :)

While I carry it around sometimes, last week I used a Egyptian drachm of Hadrian with a depiction of the lighthouse of Alexandria to tighten the bolts on my toilet upstairs. They were plastic bolts, and nothing else was laying around to use.

If you're concerned about losing value, try using an airtite or a 2x2.

I carry a 1921 Morgan that is in very good condition except for death rays that some earlier possessor (read "moron") scratched into the field in front of her eyes. I teach school, so I let my students see and feel what a Morgan silver dollar looks like.

I have an 1877 S trade dollar that I carry off and on. It had been lightly polished so hoping to improve it. I've probably taken it from XF to VF 30-35 but the fields are still too shiny.

I don't carry any. Just my keys, a dog tag and a P-38 goes where I go.
