You know, you've got a point here, and I am remiss in not more closely exploring that aspect originally given the number of counterfeits extant. This coin's only potential, of the known varieties, is VAM-2 and there are arguments against from the images provided. We'll have to move quickly on the OP's behalf once he has the coin in hand.
Like I said, Dave, those aren't photos. I don't know what those are. Illustrations? Reasonable facsimiles? All I know is, those aren't photos you sell a coin on.
My first thought, not real. The denticles are all wierd. Some longer some shorter, some fatter some extremely thin.
Definitely not real. Sorry you have to go through all of that but if you aren't absolutely positive about authenticity, you should ask first then buy. This is a place of a thousand eyes, if it's not real, someone will spot it, and save you some heartache.
Seller is not responding to my paypal claim.........so does not appear to be trying to say it's real thus far. He has 4 days left then paypal step in.
