52 D dime today at a coinstar. Funny thing is, I've searched 5 boxes of dimes this year and haven't found one silver, but this is the 5th silver dime I've found at a coinstar so far this year. Go figure.

Quite frankly it is a lot easier to search the coinstar than it is to slog through rolls! I usually don't do too well in BWR dimes, but better in CWR dimes - and even those have been some duds lately.

Agreed, dimes have become the new quarters for me as far as roll hunting goes.

That's a crazy amount left behind. The person that left all that US coinage is just being irresponsible.

    But bully for you though.

Yesterday at the grocery store coinstar - 83 cents from the reject tray (53 Lincolns and three clad Roosies) and on the ground just under the front of the machine an unc. 59-D Roosie.

One of the 53 Lincolns was a 57-D wheatie.

So we need to stand by the coinstar machines and offer to buy the coins from the people who are getting ready to put them in!!!

Might work out best for everyone. That way they don't get hit with the 9% fee or whatever it is :)

I work at a Walmart in the front and you wouldn't believe how many times I have been tempted to do just that!! I would love to be able to go through the coins before they 'dump' them in!

Found a clad quarter sitting in the hopper, and on the counter, a 2013 UK 5 pence & a 2000 Canadian quarter, with the "Celebrating Our Future" reverse. Never seen one of these before.

Also, the other day I found a 2008 Canada Olympics figure skating quarter. First time finding one of those too.

After searching 2 boxes of nickles (1 box had 2 war nickles), and a box of dimes (skunk) I brought them to 3 TD banks.

From the reject trays: 1 silver quarter and 2 dimes from the penny arcade.

From the magnet traps: $3.70 Canadian, 37¢ Euro, 50 Kopeek from Transnistria, 1 Florin from Aruba, 1 Franc, 40 Pence, and 55¢ from the Caribbean.

Why "wow"? Are the stones real?
