this is the response I got from heritage coins: Hello Sheila, In my opinion, the coin looks to be the Wide AM variety based on what I can tell from the images provided. The coin would need to be certified by one of the services such as PCGS or NGC. Depending on how it grades, it might have a value of around $100 on up. Thank you. Bob
Ask them if they have any other for that price ? When they say " No " tell them your not getting this one either . Get it graded from ANACS and sell it on your own . You already have the price guide for the grades ...
it is very hard to find a great one like that, three hundred dollars and up is a better offer, maybe start off at five hundred on e bay or just hold on to this beauty in your collection
I went through pcgs price guide and couldn't find a listing there, but I do have a Pcgs magazine from jan. of 2008 . In 2008 Rd-64 was worth 450.00 and thats for the highest grade found .
You have to think of the bite both the TPG and Bob are going to take out of the coin, too, just to realize that $100 and up. As an alternative, you might check out how comparables are selling "raw" on eBay.
That is a great way to look at it I'm gonna certainly will check into everything. Thank you for the information.
At the rate you're going you should find 1955 dd by the end of the year and a 1909 matte proof within 2!
