Ain't no one who's gonna outlive that guy.

He was there when they said:

"let there be something like light".

    And then edited the phrase.

That is why is reads the way it does today.

Frank is so tight..... he probably won't come to the service to receive the "Like'' as if he did he would have to pay the IRS tax on it...... I'm guessing 40% off the top since it would be based on a bonus rate.
I do believe through that since Doug is a good hearted person that St. Peter would allow him Haunting rights.
Meaning that Doug could come back nightly if he choose to and scare the living crap out of Frank!
Now you know Doug is going to like that....... :)

Hey Doug you could play with his CBH ' S while he's sleeping . ......drive him nuts by changing the holders on them.....

I have an idea to put this thread to bed. If @Dougmeister gives frank a like maybe he'll be satisfied :hilarious:

Nope, that just won't do it!

But more votes and pressure on Doug just may do it.

With the amount of years all of you have been on CT - you should know that Doug cannot be bullied, charmed, flattered, or coerced, to do something or even change his mind.

IMO, your only hope is patience until his will is read and what you seek will STILL not be found there. Give it up; but don't end the thread. Old farts such as myself love the attention. That's why some of us are here - right @idhair :p

Actually, I just hide and hang out with the old farts. I turn 16 in July and get to start driving. Be careful, the streets will not be safe. ;)

My old man just turned 18; he was born on leap day and only admitts to getting older every four years. In twelve years, I'll buy him his first legal beer.

What he said - with emphasis on his sentence that I underlined.

Insider, if you had read the whole thread, the answers to your questions would be crystal clear. Or, if you had a been a member here for as long as some of these other people have been members here, you wouldn't even need to read the whole thread to understand. That's because you would know all these folks, as well as me, and better understand the relationship between all of us.

But I'll help you out. A lot of these folks and I are friends, some of us have known each other for 15 years or more. And like a lot of friends do, they razz each other, rib each other, on a rather regular basis. That's what this this thread is - friends having fun with each other.

As for me giving Likes, well Likes have only existed on CoinTalk for a couple of years, before that there was no such thing. Likes were something only found on/in social media at first, then they kinda went mainstream. And when we switched over to this new software 2-3 years ago, Likes became possible on CoinTalk for the first time. And people kinda went crazy with handing out Likes - everybody but me that is.

Ya see I don't do social media, never have never will. Nor do I give out Likes, not ever, not to anybody, nor will I ever. That is me, my personal choice, and it has absolutely nothing to do with me being a moderator. It has to do with me being me, it is who I am. To me Likes are totally meaningless, there is all too often no sincerity behind them. People hand them out left and right like they are nothing, and that is what makes them nothing. Likes are some sort of popularity badge more than anything else - you gimme a Like and I'll give you one - that kinda thing. And that kinda thing, I want no part of. If I had my way CT would have not even have Likes. But people seem to like them, want them, so when the new software had the option to include them, Peter added them in. Believe it or not we do try and give people what they "like" - once in a while anyway :)

Now everybody here, that knows me, knows all of this about me, they've known it for years. And Frank, being a friend, started this thread as a way of razzing me, kidding with me. And of course me being me I have played right along - that is who I am. That is why this thread is even allowed to be in this section of the forum, otherwise it would have been moved to the GD section when it first started because it is completely off topic for this section of the forum. But once in a while ya gotta bend the rules, once in a while ya gotta let friends, be friends, and have fun with each other. That's what friends do !

As for the moderators on this forum there's something that some people just don't get. The moderators, including me - every single one of them was just an ordinary member just like every other ordinary member we have - before they became moderators. And every single one of them wears two hats - a member hat, and a moderator hat. 99% of the posts I make, they make, are made while wearing their member hat. They only put the moderator hat on when they need to put the moderator hat on. So first and foremost they (the moderators) are just ordinary members, just like everybody else. They are not above or below anything - just like everybody else. They weren't even chosen to be moderators because of their knowledge about coins, or lack of knowledge about coins. They were chosen to be moderators because of the type of person they are - for no other reason. And yeah I can say that because I chose every single one of them.

Does that help answer your questions ?

And Frank, ya still aint gonna get a Like :D

You're right, mostly anyway. But change my mind ? Oh I can do that, not by the ways you mention of course, but present me with something that actually causes me to change my mind, and yeah, I'd be more than happy to change my mind. I'd even be grateful ;)

If you are not kidding, that explains a lot! ;)

Now some fatherly advice that I'm sure you don't need. Be careful driving and learn to pay close attention to All your mirrors All the time. New drivers really are dangerous! My first car was a 300 HP Corvette in 1962. I wrecked it three times, and ran from the cops once. Thankfully w/o injury to anyone/anything as God's plan for me was (in your words) to aggravate members on CT.:troll:

PS: Hope your first car is a twenty year old Ford Pinto.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I never got around to reading that long thread. Thanks for the timesaver!

    ME EITHER!

IMO, "Likes" SHOULD mean something - sort of "good answer." They are one of the neat things on CT and if used in that manner it should indicate an informed member. If I were "king," I should delete ALL of them for everyone and use them only for "good answer." That's not going to happen. :bigtears:

    Doug,

NO one Cares about YOUR "likes" anyway! :p:p:p:p*

    * I see that reverse psychology doesn't work on you either.;)
