Extra, extra! Read the latest real estate news -- the historic headquarters of American Bank Note Co. at 70 Broad Street in downtown Manhattan is up for sale! The price? Just $88 million ... and I bet you could bargain them down to 85. Pretty tidy profit, considering the owners bought it in 2010 for $18 million. What do you think, Krispy? There's a penthouse apartment -- time for an upgrade?
yes a bunch of em throughout the book and very cool if you ask me I found it at a garage sale down in Mass about 2 weeks ago. Book is called The Story of the American Bank Note Corporation, I paid $5 it is a hardback and looks new to me. no page bends or marks and cover is really nice. could not close scanner cover but here is the best I can get for a picture. the lady said her husband used it. I don't know so much about it maybe sell it . I do garage sales on the side to buy and resell items. how much does a book like this cost?
Great book -- the engraving I first posted is from that. If you got it for $5 you made an excellent buy. It's hard to find them anywhere for under $50 these days.
Totally agree with @gsalexan . One of my favorite books in my numismatic library. Copyright 1959, hardback edition with a clear cover. Chocked full of beautiful sample vignettes. Mine also came with this card.
Shazamm! that is a winner. looking through it I can see why it is so neat. should I erase the pencil name in the book?
beats me I cant read that guys writing it looks like some swirls or fancy lines in the signing. I don't usually ask about names when I buy at garage sales like that and didn't realize it until a few weeks after. I will say the home and location it came from was upper middleclass for sure.
