I don't know if I'd give that one a 25. I'd be inclined (maybe incorrectly) to say 20. But even if I'm right, a $50 offer is a no-go.
I'm sorry, but that coin is no VF25. It's a raw low grade Morgan and Carson or not, people rarely beat down the door to pay full retail for such coins. Maybe on ebay, I don't know, but face-to-face, I highly doubt it would be a quick sale at $110. While the guy may have been able to come up some, his $50 offer doesn't strike me as unrealistic as its being made out to be. On a $50 buy, in order to make it worthwhile, one needs either an instant flip or reasonable timely return; a few bucks just doesn't cut. I don't know the guy or his market, or where his average selling prices are in relation to supposed "retail" or elsewhere, but these are things that right should be taken into consideration before judging if an offer was fair or not. The highest buy offer isn't automatically the best, especially if coming from someone who treats you well on the selling end. Just always be sure to look at the big picture.
