Oh yes I still see them here and there. As to the dark side? Morgans? I've always bought those

Most are endstage and I usually see you posting 4th stage toners at worst. Those sure are some nice darkies though :) Are those hints of red I'm seeing on the peace dollar?

I know what you mean about hotel room pics. I once bought an alexandrite gemstone at a Vegas auction by accident for $80. Got back to the hotel and researched it and they were valuable so I took pics right in my room to get it on eBay fast. You have to take pics of an alexandrite in both natural Sun light and incandescent as it changes color. So between using the window and the bathroom light it took an over an hour to get the right pics. It was worth it though as the little thing ended up selling for north of $1200

Ah gotcha. Yes I'll buy darker toners on occasion. I'll buy nearly any toner. And the prices were good on many of these

image.jpeg image.jpeg Ok ready for round 2. Pics suck on this little beauty but it's stunning and flawless. An easy 65 and 66 wouldn't surprise me also struck by very clean dies with no clashing as is so common with this date

The last thing I needed was another non-FB 1941, but this guy was calling out for a good home, and I just could not turn it down. 1941-3.jpg

I bought an entire 1958 proof set solely for this coin. It is going off to PCGS. 1958.jpg

I did the same with this 1957 -- bought the whole proof set just for this coin. Two different sellers, but the toning is very similar. I just love these two coins.

Recently picked up this 40S in PCGS 66FB. I love this kind of splotchy colorful toning but it is not for everyone.

It is subjective depending on color and patterns . But it is also funny sometimes how something strikes you and you just got to have it. Even if it's ugly.....lol:)

These are the two halves that were bonuses on the proof sets I bought for the dimes . . . Excuse the overexposed photos that I did quickly. Haven't figured out what I'm going to do with these . . . 1957 Franklin.jpg 1958 Frankling.jpg
