Classic Commemoratives (Silver) - Authenticity

    Monroe gets a bad rap for it's super low relief, but I also like the reverse. :) It's fairly affordable up through MS64+, with a sharp jump in price at MS65, and notoriously tough to find a well-struck one. How's the strike on yours? Hard to tell with the images you have.

    The classic commemoratives are absolutely great, the modern commems are just getting worse every year

    There's some moderns that I like, but as a whole I agree, not wonderful.
    Last one I bought was Star Spangled Banner.

    After crowing about Swiatek's book I nabbed for under $11 it arrived, in the Amazon equivalent of a body bag (a plastic bag, opened it up and the musty smell is horrible).

    Ouch. That's why I tend to buy "like new" or "very good" condition books from high volume book sellers. :(
