The Coin is slabbed by numistrust, however, what grade do YOU feel she deserves???? Grade on slab will be revealed later on....... IMAG0961_1.jpg IMAG0957_1.jpg IMAG0963_1.jpg
Sidenote:this coin was struck with worn out dies.....

I say AU. Lots of nicks, scratches, & blemishes for it to be considered MS in my opinion that is. Plus is the color a result of the lighting or is that the true color of the coin?

Yes, that IS the color, the coin is no doubt toned... And nicks, scratches and blemishes are common on Morgan Dollars aaaaaaalll the way up to ms67 grade BTW....

I'd say the coin looks MS-63, but it has a light "haze" to it. Not sure what causes that, be it PVC residue or dip residue. I'd bust it out of that NTC slab, give it a 2-second dip, then put it in a nice fresh air-tite. The luster should be more obvious then, IMHO
But I don't know that it would get a numeric grade in either case....

IMAG0961_2.jpg downloadfile-1_1_1.jpg side by side cheeks, both 1886p, one blast white ms65, one with a purple/gold tint, very common color for a Morgan.... I own both coins, so it's easier to compare the 2 I suppose

I'm at 63 from what I can see. Hard to evaluate the luster.

I'm going to say MS-63..... maybe squeaking by to a 64 due to the holder.

For giggles, here's another side by side, against another Philly coin....
The color isn't bad, it's my lighting unfortunately... IMAG0966.jpg

Of course, everyone is entitled to his own opinion. Yours just happens to be wrong.;)

Actually, Anne Willing-Bingham was considered the most beautiful woman in the country in her day.
