Because the first issue (1967) of the New Zealand $10 note (UNC) is now (after 50 years) worth 30 times it's face value, I purchased 100 of the first issue of the new notes (this year). After one day they were selling at a 70% mark-up, so I am well on the way to having my fortune. The trouble is . . . . if I have to wait 50 years I will (then) be one of the oldest living humans on the planet.
@. mlov43 A VERY nice (1960-1967) note, indeed. In UNC condition it's C.V. is over $NZ800. Unfortunately (for me) my collection only goes to the 5 Pound denomination. To answer your question, 'Decimal' currency was introduced into New Zealand on the 10th July, 1967, and the first $NZ10 to appear (after your note) is now worth over $NZ300. THAT is the note that I was referring to.
So, this guy said if i eat this greasy lunch, it will take a week off my life. I said, "when im 95 (edited - language) in my diaper, pretending to have turrets syndrome....I will not miss a week"
Nothing ment by it, I am a EMT who worked with developmentally disabled for a living. It is a hard battle, a little love goes a long way.
There are scientists who, in all seriousness and with a straight face, will tell you that the first person to live to be 1000 years old is alive today.
