I keep them, because even if they're clad and have circulation marks, they're still low mintage and they won't be making any more of them. I suppose if I was hard up for a few bucks I'd just spend them.

I recently sold two rolls of impaired proofs on ebay for $32 free shipping. So not a huge premium but I hang onto them.
There's so many of these clad kennedy proofs that aren't impaired that it's tough to find a buyer.

Only picked up a few rolls Saturday. As a result I didn't find much. Only keepers were a 1942-P Nickel Type 1 (non-silver) and a 1958-D nickel. Both in circulated condition.

    $50 CWR dimes - skunk

$90 CWR nickels - a few pre-1950 keepers, but nothing out of the ordinary.

We'll just have to see what the new week brings.

Two boxes halves: one 40% (1968D); two clad proofs (1979S, 2009S).

thats not too bad, unless you already have some nice 2016 pennies for a collection. I haven't seen any 2016 except about 10 that I found in a box of pennies over the weekend.

So I have an update about these silver dollars I got from a teller's tray a few weeks ago.

    20160222_182201.jpg 20160222_182212.jpg

I went to a coin show today and one of the dealers had a machine to analyze their metallic content: it turns out they are both REAL!

The Morgan dollar suffered some mechanical damage (maybe a vise, or fire or salt water) while the Peace dollar was just buffed. The buffing created a two-tone look that looked like two different metals.

So I have now found 3 silver dollars (2 Peace and 1 Morgan) in circulation!

The sad thing is until I found the guy with the right equipment, two thirds of the dealers just said they were fakes straight out without any reason except "they didn't look right" despite both passing the "ring test" (they sounded silver) and were the right weight.

At any rate, I was nearly sure the Morgan was a fake...but the weird surface is just some sort of post mint damage. The Peace dollar might have graded UNC before it was buffed / whizzed / polished.

I had no luck with halves this week, but I did pull a few more silver war nickels and a Merc. When there is only one dime in a box, it's nice to get a Merc...

I wish I could like my own post, because I like how this one turned out!

Nice score. Don't know how to get CWR Halves. My bank doesn't have Customer rolls anymore. Maybe I should try a different bank that I don't have an account with.

Went through 4 boxes of cents this weekend. 2 boxes had 1909P's in them and one also had a Struck Through Die Cap cent.

Just finished a box of BWR Cents. Typical box, with 22 wheatbacks and 20 Canadians.

No really special coins. The oldest wheat was a beat up 1929. Everything else was 1944 or newer philly and denvers. Half of the box was shield cents.

The best coin was this pretty incredible 1960 Canadian. The discoloration is just a little dirt.

One Box of Halves. Not a big score but it was nice to get my second Franklin:

Luck of the draw. I don't get them often, but I used to when I did my CRH trips. Try another bank, worst they can do is turn you away.
