Small Date/Letters I have another '34 Large Date/Letters, probably in AG-G condition, will post that when I can.
1807 O-112 50/20 R-1 1807 O-112 R-1 Obverse #9 Reverse H-s2 Diagnostics: Obverse: Star 1 points between segments Reverse: 50 over 20. Easy to spot, look for circular marking near the top half of the left side of the 5. Note: Later die state O-112a has a reverse cud from top of U to olive leaf. That is an R-4. I have it as a VG-8 What do you think?
1807 O-113 R-2 1807 O-113 R-2 VG-8 Small Stars. Obverse #10 Reverse I Obverse: Small stars distant from milling. Left base of 1 is missing. Reverse: 50 C is very wide. The later die state has obverse & reverse die cracks, and is an R-3.
1807 O-114 F-12? R-3 Obverse: 11 Reverse: J Obverse: Die lumps below 7 Reverse: Two lower arrowheads joined
1808 O-101 8/7 R-1 1808/7 O-101 Per Parsley/Overton The overdate is the most popular piece of the year. R-1 F-12 Per Parsley: Most 1808 are weakly struck and with little wear appear well worn. Obverse: 1 Reverse: A Diagnostics: Obverse: Overdate, clearly visible to top left of the 8. Reverse: Break in feather to right side of shield. close up of date & die crack
1808 O-102 R-5 1808 O-102 Without the die cracks, I believe. If so: R-5 Obverse: 2 Reverse B Diagnostics: Obverse: 08 distinctly closer than the 180 Reverse: Left talon is split. This, early die state is considerably scarcer than the later (O-102a) suggesting that the die started to fail early in its life. Per Parsley/Overton: The obverse without die crack is 'RARE'. G-6
1808 O-103 R-1 1808 O-103 R-1 Obverse: 3 Reverse: C Diagnostics: Obverse: Left base of 1 missing Reverse: AM solidly joined at base. VF?
1808 O-106 R-2 1808 O-106 R-2 Obverse: 6 Reverse: F Diagnostics: Obverse: stars 5 and 6 closer than 6 and 7 Reverse: Arrowheads lightly joined. I grade it as a VF, comments? Note: That is a light die crack to the front of the cap. I don't know what that is on the back of the cap, it isn't on the coin as I view it.
1808 O-107 R-3 1808 O-107 R-3 Obv 7 Rev: G Thanks to Jim for correcting me on this id. As he noted: Adams apple at the throat. Also: Rev: Centering dots at junction of left wing & scroll. Plus: Arrowheads solidly joined. Plus: Position of the S (in Pluribus) to the second S in States. Looks original, that is a die crack in front of the forehead to Star 5.
1809 1809 O-102 R-1 1809 O-102 F-12 R-1 Obverse: 2 Reverse: A-s2 Diagnostics: Obverse: star 13 close to curl. Reverse: row of segments below scroll.
