My FDC Severus Alexander (222-35AD) AV Aureus ND (229AD) Rome Mint reverse: Alexander as "Romulus" with spear/trophy Calico 3118 6.39 gm 21mm John
I really don't have any words for the coins you posted as I am just speechless!!! You are becoming another Lawrence A. Adams...
Actually, six of Dr. Adams coins are now in my album. Guess, what I am thinking about in the Summer, when I'am maintaining clients lawns/gardens/hedges! That is other then having an ice cold beer.... It was sad when Dr. Adams passed, I think he built one of the best Worldwide AV collections. He had a really nice selection of gold/electrum coinage from the "Kings of the Bosphorus", also from the old Kingdom of Annam....now Viet-Nam.
Again, a pure gem Fantastic coins panzerman. Thanks for sharing them wit the community here, we're privileged to have them posted Q
Another gorgeous AU @panzerman !!! We're all a bit green with envy---at least I definitely feel a tad jealous
You are totally disgusting...Saint Patrick's Day didn't make me green, but you make me green with envy. Beautiful....AWESOME coins!!!
Thanks! We are fortunate that these coins were kept in such pristine quality thru the centuries. John
Thank you, its a great pleasure to share them with all of you. it would be nice if ALL collectors did same. Unfortunately, many are hidden away out of sight in safe boxes as investments. i look at it differently, from the sheer pleasure of collecting/history behind them. John
Thanks, I feel the same scrolling down auction sites, and looking at the gorgeous coins for to bid on....most outa my league. Beautifull hobby.
Curious, my coin-friend ... have you been posting these winners at other threads throughout the years, or is this now a new coin-release for your amazing coin-awesomeness??
Actually, this is a first for me. I was a relative, "unknown"! Then about two years ago, I was at a local coin shop to find albums for my US/Canada obsolete banknotes, at which time their were a few clients at his store. We talked coins, they asked if I belonged to the local "coin club" My answer was no, since I never heard of this club. Long story short, I joined, met a lot of diverse collectors, brought in stuff for show and tell, and one of the guys told about your forum site. Now, I am part of your club! Probably, between April-Nov. I will be super busy at work, but once I am off, you see a lot more photos/posts. John
