Thanks. The 100 and 50 Francs are not common in mint state quality. Most were probably used in commerce. They were quite a gorgeous coin in their design. This date/ mint are hard to get in high grades.
I just looked it up in my Krause world catalog. in UNC. grade it goes for $1,400 I can only imagine your coin is like $2,000-3,000+ ? with a very small mintage- 3,078 quite rare I'd say. where did you get/buy this coin ?
I got mine from Stacks auction in 1990. Recently, the same coin in MS-64 sold in a Heritage Auction for $14,000!
