As indicated earlier here are some weights and measurements the weight of this coin is 5.8g The width is 24.2mm
Give up, Krispy! His Chicken Little Theory has gone to his head probably from having too many pieces of the sky fall on him. Chris
Do you realize how foolish you are making yourself look? People have grown tired of laughing at you. Chris
Chris lets in this, (prove my statement incorrect and less move on) and I have not seen you provide any kind of a alternative only criticism move on
After much thought of your headline am going to guess soupid. If you master it you should try an plate impression next. Lol
It looks like your light source is close to being a point source and the illumination appears to be centered on the top. A diffused light source might relieve the problem.
Guys, we've tried explaining things to him ad naseum and he just ignores it all and continues to post nonsense or die cracks so insignificant that he needs an electron steroscope to photograph them all while changing his avatar to a different weird gif almost daily.
Sir this photo is with a different camera and straight on light source I know lighting is been a problem thank you for your quote and enjoy this photo I'm getting tired of this, you think just because you seen it all that you don't think about the couple thousand new members that we have on this site that are looking through their pocket change and can have some idea what they may find in it yet these posts may be insignificant to you but probably helpful to a new collector and I would appreciate it if you don't have something nice to say just keep your To yourself
Actually, they are precisely who we're thinking of here. We do not want your ridiculous ideas misleading them. You are obviously going to believe whatever you wish regardless of the facts, and are apparently a lost case. This is a coin created by a die whose production run has caused it to alter in overall profile. Nothing else. "Machinists" aren't a part of the die production process any longer. It's all computerized.
Dave absolutely correct but Sir you do have to have a machinist to set these automatic systems up for maintenance and to replace the cutting dies and to insurer that the milling machine is doing what it's supposed to do they may not actually cut the dies anymore by hand but no matter how you look at it you have to have a machinist for set up and maintenance that's a fact Jack look it up. Dave all I'm saying is the blank die before engraving had a crown in it causing the impression even before it was sent to the engraving room to be engraved as you know as well as I do the engraving machine is going to follow the contour of the metal that's it engraving. And Dave my grandfather once told me before he passed away. You can have all the knowledge in the world but without common sense all that knowledge is useless. All I see is members who cannot see what's right in front of them explain the crown in the die and I'll shut up instead of all the ridicule and criticism for evidently something that is different and you do not understand, I don't know if this DA can understand it and it looks like to me a lot of other members understand what is being presented and all the experts that watch this site have no comment you think maybe they understand. Dave the coin I'm going to show you I will totally agree with die distortion because the symmetry is not there like in my original photograph any mechanic that's replaced a crankshaft or camshaft knows about metal distortion have a look
Just found the missing coin that I need I showed you I only had a 2015 P as an example because I didn't have a 2016 available at the time this 2016 P is out of the same lot but has no bowl.
Dave, you're wasting your time. The best we can do is to inform newcomers to the hobby that his die cracks are worthless, and his "machine" needs a lot of oil. Chris
Do you really understand how the minting process works? I hope you take the time to learn more about it. It would help you understand why others do not agree with much of what you are saying.
(KMA) Well Dave I guess we'll let the janitors set up maintain and program these complicated lay machines and I guess he's also in control of quality control,I guess this would be a good excuse for a messed up die. and if you guys were smart as you think you are you would go online and watch the making of a die maybe you would increase your knowledge a bit and be so less judgmental of something Quite evidently you do not understand and you guys are so naïve that you don't think a mistake can be made in the die making process. (what world do you to live in) and I have over a roll of these quarters now and still going up,Since a roll of these is enough I started putting the rest back in the circulation. just because someone presents a theory to you and you do not understand it and you do not want to do the research to disprove this theory so far all I've heard from you guys is unfounded accusations and scorn and ridicule I backed up my statement how about you doing the same prove my statement incorrect truthfully I'd really like to see you do it good luck. Prove my statement incorrect or back off. The coin is a book learn to read it will tell you it story. ps Dave visually the overs of this coin has very few bag marks visually it's a good-looking coin so your statement of a worn-out die doesn't stand up there would be no reason for them to replace the die in the process and the inspector who periodically checks quality out of the been of coins would not notice this because he has direct light on the overse of the coin I'll stop there this is going over your guys heads have a good day. KMA
