The images showed below are of two different1962 Proof Franklin half Dollar's.
Notice anything different between specimen A & B The eagles wings? Coin A is more mirrored like as coin B is more on the frosty side.

The first was polished more than the second. Not worth noting but both nice.

Yea appears to be doubled, there are a few varieties for this year.... I don't recall this being one of them

Edit: after checking the Franklin website, you may have a new discovery here...
I don't suppose any of the letters are doubled?

Proof coins are a nemesis when it comes to searching for doubling. The reflection of the light often plays tricks on me, which may be the case with your coin. (plus the fact that I WANT to find something doesn't help either, lol),

On my '63 proof below, it looks like doubling or tripling, but I don't have my hopes up, lol. (yes, I know it would photograph better outside of the OGP)

Yes I know how proof coins play tricks. That's why I shoot the proof images with the light directed from the side not above . The first image is doubled not from the mirror effects but from being doubled. The edges aren't flat shelf like but rounded .

Wishing you luck with your discovery. I have a couple of sets that I'll have to look at.
