Daniel Carr 1916 3 coin set

I think he just released these today. I always miss his new releases before they sell out, so jumped on these. I did not go for the antiqued ones though. These will be a nice addition to the gold coins the US Mint are releasing this year.

Edit: does anyone else think that Liberty's face on the quarter looks odd? Is it an exact reproduction?

 

Too bad they're not actual sized coins, rather they're one ounce medallions with a rendition of the coin.

These don't excite me in the least. I'd buy them if they were (say) 1915-dated overstrikes, but I don't like silver rounds much. At least there won't be any 27 page threads about how he's minting counterfeits.

The antique ones will probably be the winners, since I am not getting them, haha. Just too much over melt value for me.

I wonder that too. I have no idea if he does a set number, or for a certain amount of time, or what. I like some of his old designs, but I never catch them in time.

 

Well, for the 2013 Buffalo nickel centennial he made 2,016 of them.

 

He's done both in the past but usually there is a mintage limit posted if he does mintage. One may pop up at some point but only he could say for sure

 

So far, 15 satin sets and 7 antiqued sets.

 

Where would I be without you folks letting me know what and when DC next products are??

I ordered the cheapest set along with one of the 2010 1/2 Amero's which I've wanted for a very long time.
