Sorry that I haven't post much in awhile. I picked this up on eBay last week for a small sum. This was the only one I could find with a great looking envelope. There were many with really ugly packing being sold for much more than I paid. Yeah I was taking a chance on the coins looking good or not. Thankfully they are here and look awesome, if not I would have sent them back.
Thanks Fiddlehead. Not much difference in price between AU and MS so I think I will just grade it at AU and not bother sending it in to get graded. Did I mention before about USACoinBook.com. Good place to buy or sell. I will probably sell it there. I am not connected to that web site in case anyone thinks I am promoting it here.
Just bought this one as an AU. Will it make MS? -Chuck Just joined CT - Learned a lot already... Perhaps it's the lighting, but to me that Eagle is AU-Details at best. Looks to have had a vigorous cleaning, perhaps even a thorough whizzing to make it look like it has "luster". I see many hairlines in the images provided. 'dude
Yep, I agree but the scratches in the fields look random. I just don't know about the cleaning... Thanks for your reply.
Not my favorite series, but I think it's very nice for a 62. This is one I would send to CAC if I belonged.
