    Dear eBay/Vcoins/whatever seller,

If you're not willing to take the time to read the relevant papers(all of which are free online) on anonymous Roman Republican silver and bronze, don't throw out references to Crawford or any other reference, just sell them without a full attribution. Selling a not-fully-attributed coin is OK. Selling a misattributed coin because you found another that looked like it(which may well have been misattributed by its seller) and copied-and-pasted it is not.

    Sincerely,
A customer who has spent too much time correcting misattributed coins.

    Dearest Ebay Seller,

No Reserve means NO RESERVE. That implies that you will list the price at minimum bid and let the bidding system work. Saying "No Reserve" and putting a minimum bid of $500 implies a reserve.

    Dear E-bay seller:

In case you care, selling that fake coin as real is a criminal offense.

But since you are selling it, I have to presume you don't care.

I'm glad your brain does not occupy my head.

Dear eBay seller: don't get upset when half your customers don't leave you any feedback no matter how well you treat them. People are lazy and thoughtless.

Dear eBay seller: when you photograph that nice raw coin, consider setting it down on something other than your own grubby fingers.

Depending on the types of items, it can be a higher rate of non-paying buyers. Also a higher rate of non-feedback transactions. I remember a time I was unloading a bunch of video games at home I had just laying around collecting dust, about 50-60% of my buyers never left feedback (now more than a year has passed and no feedback) and about 15-20% were problem buyers, either took forever to pay or didn't pay, or etc.

When I sell coins, I almost always get great buyers, and they promptly leave feedback, like seemingly minutes after the items arrive.

Dear Ebay coin sellers a mint set generally consists of both the P and D/S mint coins, just because there is two packages doesn't mean you have two mint sets.

Why not, if you did someone else will too. You just have to find them. (That's a general "you" not meaning a specific person.)

    Dear ebay sellers,

Do not expect to make money after the ebay and paypal fees, and shipping and handling costs (packaging, transportation, and postage).

This. It's not even worth it for coins less than $50.

Especially if you're selling them with free shipping. I know; I buy them all the time.

Me too! If I get a coin with great seller pics for less than $20, it's like they donated it to my collection.

Lowest price of a listing with embedded shipping (if it ended up sold to domestic customer, and if the item plus padded envelop weights less than 4 oz), using USPS first class, is $3.50. This varies a bit depend on how much you're paying for those shipping supplies.

I know many people that make over $10K a month profit selling only stuff below $10 (including free domestic shipping) so I don't know what you guys were smoking lol.

IMHO the sweet point is ~$20. This is a price level where people don't think twice before hitting the buy button. If all your items are correctly priced and around $20 then you're going to make a ton of money.

I used to list a bunch of $10-$20 stuff that would be ending and hour or two before my more high end stuff and some $5-$10 that would end earlier in the day, few hours before that cheaper stuff. I had great results, it was like a cascade of bid activity.
The people only interested in the cheapest stuff at least got the bidding lively on the slightly more expensive coins and all of those in turn got the bidding lively on the high end coins that had not got bid up yet. Occasionally one of the cheapies would go in competitively on some high end coins as well.

Try this strategy, it works. Just be careful not to spam too many listing or you'll end up having buyers put you on their exclusion list. I was doing between 15 and 30 coins each wave, with the higher number for the final high end one. :)

Dear eBay coin sellers, stop listing currency as "bullion". I would like to earn eBay Bucks off your item. I often find listings I want to bid/buy, but opt for other "non-bullion" listings so I can earn eBay Bucks. This is crucial during eBay Bucks multiplier promotions. :D
