These are just bills I've found in circulation and kept them because they're a little different. These were change at 7 eleven where I also got the next $20. Thought it was coincidental, nothing special though.
Got this one today and am really trying to not save every small head bill I come across but this one is in really nice shape, very crispy and doesn't look like it's ever been folded so I saved it... for now anyways...
Got this one in change yesterday...395 33 395... it's sort of a bookend repeater something-or-other... will probably spend it but these kinds of things always catch my eye... I can't help it... it's a sickness
Got this one in change today.. a little crumpled but in pretty good shape for a 1963-B so I'll probably keep it
Yeah, I know... I'm gonna keep it... like the number too just wish it was in better shape... wish I was in better shape too but that's another story...,
Found today: 09 B19750306B B-day note, B06713812*/B26713812* Mis-match serial, 09 D79000097E Radar, and 2013 K00271749* First-run LEPE Star. (2) beat up 57a SC's... All in 9 - 100 note straps.
I recently found a Series 1963 $1 in VF or so condition (sorry I don't have a photo), no star or fancy serial. It probably has no premium but it is always surprising to find something that old in circulation considering that the average dollar bill lasts for 18 months. BTW it's not a Barr note, just a 63 plain, so I doubt it got spent from anyone's collection. That makes it even more surprising that it lasted so long.
Released after 2009A. Identical to 2009A except for series date. Survivors of the original printing that was plagued by hard-to-detect errors. Took years to figure out how to cull out the flawed notes so the good ones could be issued. Not released until this year, over four years after last printed. www.uspapermoney.info has printing data, but it's unclear if it is the whole printing, or just the ones that passed inspection. Probably wind up being common, but it's an interesting story. http://www.uspapermoney.info/serials/f2009_h.html
Another two Near-Misses (or is it Near Hits?) ... Found this almost Radar last week (also posted above) then found these two almost binaries yesterday.... I'm getting close, I can feel it!!!
