OK Heavy you have an 1943 D in MS-64 maybe 65 but your image is not very clear it is an RPM 003 DDD-East,West
Is there a light die crack in his hair? If so MDS, Light die crack lower right building to rim LDS, die crack head to rim @ 12k is also LDS.
What really puzzles me is the 3 in your date. As from your images it shows a hook that same hook is a pup on the 1943/2 P Jefferson .

I see the die crack in his hair now as I enlarged the image MDS. As for FS close but no cigar.:cigar:

There's a hook there alright..looks like an RPD too..and cracks from the rim up thru S in States and C in cents up to the steps... Crack from rim to right side building and a diagonal crack from right column to underneath window... Spider crack in hair.... IMAG0880.jpg IMAG0879.jpg

That shows die deterioration for sure that image of the date. You can see it for sure..... that's the hook I thought I saw from your other images.

There are a lot of ddo's on these war era nickels. But one must remember it was war time Everything was used to the max then recycled . These dies did a lot of strikes.... even in silver, mag were softer then nickel still wore these out.

So I guess it's then a MS 65 FS nickel? However if it was in an NGC holder that nick in the steps would of shot it down.

Yeah, I think if it's in a PCGS holder, it's FS...

Well I had no idea pcgs had looser standards for FS, FBL AND FSB ..... Jeez, is that a Jedi mind trick so you'll submit to them instead?

If someone spends all that money telling people they are the best, don't you think people will start believing it? :)

Relating it to my field, Martha Graham was a gifted choreographer...but the reason she is so famous (ahead of other contemporaries who were just as talented, maybe even more so) is because she was also a relentless self-promoter. And so...eventually, people buy in.
