GTG Capped Bust Halves

    Agree. I feel some of the wear on the first is strike. But there is a decent amount of wear on the hair curls. Why I'm at 40. And it's also got beautiful original skin too. I'll buy bust halves like this all day long too and I find them rather easy to sell

    XF45/XF50 raw piece had one "in hand" that looked that good and will never stop kicking myself for not buying it....

    I haven't had a chance to add of my newer coins my set because I have been away at college. Didn't want someone trying to add it to theirs to get the points lol

    I agree that the 1812 was overgraded slightly. I like it better at 40. There needs to be some luster present for a 45 - and I don't see any at all. There is too much wear on the cheek and eagle for a 45, in my opinion.

    The 24 is more like what I would expect to see for a 45. It would be accurately graded at 45, but if there is a decent amount of luster present in hand, I could see an argument made for 50. It should not be any more than 50, from what I can see in the pictures.

    I don't know that I would say "heavily worn" for the 1812 - but I would definitely say "too heavily worn for a 45."
