My apologies, but I'm a little (lot) lost as to exactly what you're asking.... other than the "D over P" thing if in regards to the mintmark, which would be impossible. Chances are what you're seeing, or think you're seeing, are nothing more than artifacts caused by corrosion and/or the coin's poor condition.
Sorry. I meant on the reverse the wheat leaf is minted on it either upside down or right side up except it is not exactly in the same location. The first four pictures indicates where it seems to begin.
You should create 2 separate threads if you have questions on 2 different coins.. then it would be less confusing
This one was a mistake...I accidentally posted the wrong picture for him to see...come on paddy, I just stated that above
OK.. just trying to help. Go slow and be careful on your posts so not to create confusion.. soon I will be posting my 3000th post and I have always reviewed and double checked them before posting.
I still have to go with pareidolia due to the corrosion. Note how people usually see such odd things on the worst condition coins; it is, unfortunately, not coincidental.
I will. Still new to this. But you know I do always appreciate you guys trying to help me out, I really do. When my double headed quarter gets verified as "real", you will be remembered.
Thank you. I am about to post up a 1984 that seems to have a double ear. If you have time, I would love for you to check it out and leave feedback thank you!!
Dang I have to look at the dates . But didn't the proofs only have the S mint mark that late ? I stopped collecting Lincolns at '58 when they started the memorial cents .
