I got this for $19 today. I don't know much about the prices on these, did I do okay or did I overpay? @SteveInTampa It's a 1928B light green seal note...
If you like it buy it - one persons TOO MUCH is another persons DEAL! I just spent/over spent 20$ on this note today as I liked the high serial number http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/LfsAAOSwWTRWx2Ey/s-l1600.jpg
I always liked the shade of green the BEP used on the lime seal notes although I don't have any as of yet!
As far as price goes, you did OK. My collection practices are a bit different. If I like a particular series or design, I will pass on the lower grade, inexpensive examples, save up a little more money, and buy an XF, AU, or UNC note. I did a quick search on Heritage and found a nice AU example for $47. Not a whole lot more money, with great eye appeal and original paper qualities. http://currency.ha.com/itm/federal-...1201-30325.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
I like it. I would have spent a little more but I have one. It's in a nice circulated condition. Looks like the Secretaries signature is overlapping the serial number a little.
I'm not asking anyone to get a 2nd mortgage on their house, or sell their car.....just be patient, save a little more money and get the the note that is easily twice, maybe even three times nicer than the bargain note.
