Dave, you are a great person. This is just not for me. It's for you guys. I remember when I posted a VAM 18 I found RAW and most comments were "it looks cleaned". It straight graded at PCGS (doesn't mean it still wasn't cleaned), and there were crickets. At some point some of these people should start realizing maybe their "good intentions" are obfuscated by their own emotions.

 

I stand corrected. You should go hide somewhere.

I am generally not a fan of Morgans, but WOW, I love it! Great fields, great holder.. great coin! Who cares about the "shotgunned" eagle.

 

Two different coins, two super clean fields (but there's chatter!) , same types of marks on the eagle. Take the lighting differences out of the equation and they become almost identical. Occam's razor has one explanation, which is in conflict with some of the opinions on this thread. Honestly, if the first response to this thread wasn't "that's not a 64" I wouldn't have reacted this way, but it's so tedious.

Nothing about the perceived vituperation in this thread - and it only exists because of misperception - changes the fact that yours is a coin which any savvy collector (myself included) would pay over market for. It's a helluva coin that doesn't need Todd Pollock's camera to be obviously worthy. It won't CAC at 64. I don't care - nobody cares - it's a helluva coin.

But we're numismatists. We grade roadkill, and we disagree about that grade too. Sometimes violently. That does not change the love of the coin.
