This nickel has the nicest luster I've ever personally seen for a Jefferson. I just wish I had the equipment and skill to fully show it. Also, something I was unable to capture is a nice purple and royal blue hue everywhere that isn't toned orage.
Me too, but frankly, it also keeps me out of trouble. With HA and the other sites I visit frequently, not having Stack's as a weekly option has been a bit of financial blessing!
Ha just hasn't had anything I could resell for a profit. I did well on stacks especially with toned Morgan's and good mid grade us type. Shows seem to be my best buying now but it's usually buying raw and sending in
In my Morgan upgrade program, after selling off virtually all the toners, for project wedding, there is room to get a few more high grade pretty ones. Got this one today:
Here is a little French Medieval coin I picked up as part of a trade. France, Valence - Bishops of Valence - (1157 - 1276 A.D.) AR Denier O: + VRBS VΛLЄNTIΛI, angel standing facing with wings displayed. R: S ΛP◊LLINΛRS, cross; annulet in fourth quarter. .9g 18mm Robert 4783
Sweet 23-D! Congrats on finding this one. I've been looking to add to my Peace Dollar set and this would be one I'd be happy to own.
Thanks I've been looking for the right one for a while. I almost bought an ms 65 a while back. I'm sorta glad I didn't.
New arrival. 1868 shield nickel proof. About 600 minted. 14 at grade in NGC population. I love old proofs!
Frankly that coin is as good looking as many of an MS-65 I've seen in the Peace series. The green bean is a bonus. One nice catch!
