Not a clue, nor would it matter since we can all represent ourselves as we wish online regardless of physical reality.
I'm back! Look kiddies, if you wish to be told stories by those who fabricate things ... that's fine with me. I will not tolerate misinformation if I am sure that is the case. "Stories" BLUR THE FACTS and may confuse other members here. I wish to learn new things about coins. That's why I asked the other member a simple question. I received no answer until he answered another poster with the same question. Go read the thread. Never mind. Many who read it didn't have a tolerable comprehension of the English language. I'm not the bad guy here
Did you ever consider that you are acting like the bad guy? All of your attacks and insulting remarks to others make you look like the bad guy. Even in this last post I just quoted, you had to be insulting. Whatever your agenda is, it's not healthy for this site. Folks here are not going to tolerate your ways or your misinformation. You don't make it easy to believe much of what you say.
Poor boy was sooooooo upset he didn't get his answer promptly and the way he deserved it he had to use emojis and other means to stand up and shout and jump up and down. All in the name of protecting nameless persons from the willful misinformation and lies being promulgated by wayward quasi-numismatists! He is here out to save himself and all the other people here from the 80% who want to confuse people visiting this site.
Please accept my apologies, Mods; I thought I'd doctored that image enough to be acceptable. Won't attempt it again. For the record, it's good Moderation to drop a note onto a member who you feel required editing, to explain the nature of the offense.
The Mother Superior must have recognized me from my sarcasm. She has to be on CT also. Anyway, this is a photo of me fussing w/Doug last week.
SuperDave, You've showed a lot of class here; although I should have liked to have seen the cartoon. The others were great. I did not know what EDITED was. I thought you just removed comments you made in your post as I have done many times before when they were too (Idhair, here's that word again) sarcastic. In that spirit, and in view of all the members comments, I promise to be much calmer (using blue color and less faces) to my posts that disagree with others. I certainly do not wish to drag down CT into "cheap shots." Note: Cartoons are not cheap shots.
I was a lonely, abused, only child with very few friends - the object of neighborhood/classmate bullies. Then I found coins. Now I just crave attention and disparage misinformation or fabrications (whatever the reason) regarding numismatics.
Dirty little secret, Insider: I'm not a "name" in numismatics at all. I am just a guy with a fascination with numismatics in general and conservation in particular, who has been experimenting long enough and broadly enough at home to be ready to start publishing as soon as I hone my coding skills sufficiently. You wouldn't recognize my face or name, unless you're somebody I know and I don't know it. What budget I have - and I'm not rich enough to buy coins for other than my experimentation, I've added one coin to my collection in the last 6 months - goes to equipment and related supplies. Haven't got a lot of coins, but I have the capability to melt and vibrate them to death, and I own a lot of fire extinguishers. I'll make the spring Baltimore show, but reaching anything outside the Eastern Seaboard isn't in the cards for me. I do not drive and haven't owned a car in 25 years (I'm in my mid-50's).
\ Wow! Based on your knowledge and the content of (the majority) your posts, I thought you were a MAJOR professional coin dealer. More respect to you! Here is a "secret" for you...I heard from a "principal" at NCS that their first "lab" (to see if conservation was feasible) was in a bathroom.
