Good to know when I go through them again. I just got pics of the talon head reverses and the 2 single clash 71d's have the rev clash and one is very strong. I'll post soon
Thanks for posting the reverses. Interesting, because none of my Type 3 reverse Ike's have Talon Clashes.
Regardless of what the pop is, any 1972 IKE in NGC/PCGS MS66, regardless of Type, is a multi-thousand dollar coin. ANACS 66's might gather $1000. So, I guess I'm a little confused since you're only showing sub 66 coins?? Huh? While some of the clashes are fairly strong, the Talon Head IKE Market is very thin. Comparitively speaking, a Bugs Bunny Franklin (die clash) will draw more interest than a Talon Head IKE (also a die clash) simply because the market is much broader. I don't believe I recall ever seeing a $250 premium for a Bugs Bunny Franklin.
Lee, Cascade is talking about a Double Talon Head clash at MS-66 for over two thousand dollars and I'm talking about the Reverse clashes ....
I totally forgot about the 65/66 line @19Lyds I guess he's not asking much of a premium because of the talon head. And I've been coming to the conclusion on my own about talon heads possibly not being too sought after, even the rare Philly ones. Nice to see an ike guy like you confirming my thoughts on that. If rick saw a rev clashed ike sell in the $250 range though that's another thing
