Talon Head IKE's

Hey guys, don't think I've shared these here before but I just got them back from anacs so it's share time.

It's a group of Ikes from a large lot of rolls I bought that were supposedly from an SDB. Don't know if that's true or not but I've found some gems for sure!

Here we have three 71d Denver ikes with talonhead clashes. Which are cool but common compared to Philly. Apparently Denver didn't have an auto shutoff when clashes happened so they did. But Philly did have one so it had to malfunction or something for a Philly to clash which is why they are rare.

So I also present six 1972p talon heads some even with strong reverse clashing and... 2 are double clashes!!!...

I think I have kind of a big deal thing here but I need the experts help on value and info. I can't find much info or any past sales but there is one 72p t3 reverse in ngc 66 on ebay right now asking over $2k. He says the pop is only 20 (I guess 26 now lol) and his is the top pop.

I can't find anything on double clashes on any Philly either and in the "in your face" spectum at that!

First 2 solo pics are of the 72p doubles. Don't know why they went with "clashed dies" on the 72p's but used "one clash" & "two clash" on the 71d's ???

Yes I believe most have some level of the earth wing lines. Not sure about around the O. Don't think I ever checked there. I think some have the neck U clash too though

Just with those clashes, you can add 250 dollars to the coin ...

 

Say WHAT!!!? It's too early and I'm recovering here rick. Don't mess with me it's too early for this kinda excitement lol. I never looked into them really, just thought they were part of the talon head thing!?

 

Now it makes sense though as to why they labeled them "clashed dies" instead of just "one or two clash" like the 71d's

Wow so only with.the wing earth clash they go for $250? None of your 40 are talon heads? Are yours Philly or Denver?

Wow, and no talon heads huh. That's strange and makes me wonder cuz if they're that strong you would think the talon would be there too. Kinda shows another layer of rarity with talon head clashes I guess

I found it on Ebay a couple of years ago and it sold for 250 dollars ...

 

Wow, so I'm guessing nice clashes on most ikes are kinda rare as hens teeth if they're so scarce and command nice premiums. Do.you remember if that one was a Philly or Denver? Once the sun comes up and coffee kicks in I'll check mine out and get pics to share.

Oh no rick. I'm only seeing the earth wing clash on 2 of the 71d talonheads. Don't know why I thought there were more. Maybe I saw it on others in my stash, or maybe I miss remembered? I'll have to check now... I'll get pics soon but until then here's a pic of the "sdb stash" I bought that all these came from...

 

Those clashes can be found on all P & D except for 1976 ..
