I haven't cleaned it because everyone tells me not to, so please excuse the dirtiest and if there is a way to clean the coin without damaging it opinions much appreciated.
It doesn't matter what it will grade. In that condition, it will only be worth melt value..........EVER! Question: How could it have been in a bag with other coins since 1991 if it is a 1992?
Missing the "s"...come on now chris you know Im using a phone via tappa talk..Im too lazy to correct every mistake I make. Lol. Im not trying to sell these. Im just trying to see if they are worth getting graded to hold on.
Grading it will cost way more than the thing is worth. If you want to learn how to dip (clean) a coin, this is a good host to study your technique. You won't likely hurt it and it will still be worth what it's always going to be worth, bullion melt value. Try using pure acetone or MS70, rinse afterward in distilled water, air-dry, don't pat and don't wipe it dry. Wear latex gloves and work in a well ventilated area.
Definitely none of those except pouring water on it cause it was nastier before taking this picture. Lol.
Already? Geez. Guess its time for me to start on the jfks now...your gonna hate me on these I can already tell...lol
Just be sure not to say, "I've never seen a mintmark placement like this before." for 70's and 80's JFK's. Chris
You know I will eventually lol...quick question, are there pennies with S mint marks? Found two so far and 2 silver colored pennies from 1988.
I have no idea what you are using. Your posts don't say anything about a phone, and my crystal ball is in the shop for service. Chris
